Children with Disability NZ
Supporting Disabled Children, Families and Communities
Children with Disability NZ is a New Zealand registered charity dedicated to supporting disabled children, families, whānau, schools, communities and organisations through advocacy, inclusion projects, practical resources and lived-experience knowledge.
Our work is built around the belief that every child deserves to feel seen, valued, respected and included in everyday life. Inclusion is not simply about good intentions. It requires accessible environments, useful information, community awareness and practical action.
Through our growing network of websites and digital resources, we help families, educators, councils and communities better understand disability, accessibility, sensory needs, inclusive play, communication, education and disability awareness.
A major part of this work is Inclusive Education NZ , our growing collection of inclusive education resources for children, families, teachers and schools.
Inclusive Education NZ provides inclusive stories, disability awareness resources, flipbooks, audiobooks, printable activities, sensory learning materials and interactive learning tools designed to help children grow up understanding disability, difference and inclusion.
Children with Disability NZ is also working to create visible change in communities through accessible playground advocacy, inclusive design guidance, sensory learning resources, inclusive storytelling and practical information that can be shared widely across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Each part of our network has a different purpose, but all of it supports the same mission: inclusion, accessibility, participation and belonging.
