What We Do?

It would be great to bring enjoyment to children's lives, but our focus is on the lack of facilities in New Zealand that cater for disabled children.

Our mission is to first make Northland the most disability-friendly region in New Zealand and then roll it out NZ-wide.

To provide more events for our disabled children their parents and siblings to enjoy togetherness.

Accessible places, wheelchair-friendly outdoor experiences, and playground equipment. sensory programs and equipment in public spaces.

Our mission is to make every disabled child welcome in the whole of New Zealand.

C.W.D - Kids What We Do

Children's Testimonials...

"I want to play with my friends just like the other kids; just remember when designing your playgrounds to make me feel included."

-Emma Wheeler.

Reach your goals

“You cannot change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust your sails to always reach your goals or destination.”

-Glen McMillan.

What we do for disabled children

We Want To Make A Difference To Every Child:

What We Do?

We are currently a team of two: Glen McMillan and Adrianne Tate, both experienced website designers. We are currently self-funded, so we only have ourselves as sponsors. Glen McMillan has a disability and has had it since age 10. He is skilled in all things Google, ranging from his ability to research to his ability at search engine optimization.

Google can be so frustrating when it delivers outdated search results. While working in his home office, Glen had an idea that his skills in SEO and his skills in conducting online research could be combined, and a series of information-providing websites would be created.

These websites would be optimized to sit on page one of Google for the related search term, providing up-to-date information to those searching for such information.

Then there is Adrianne, who has her own set of skills. Adrianne provides the look and feel of the website and our partner sites so they all have the same operational experience, which helps people navigate to where they need to go. Glen McMillan is funding this from his own pocket. Glen runs a business called Website Design Whangarei. Feel free to contact Glen for your website requirements.

The income from the business, along with endless hours of effort, supports currently three community-based websites listed below.

Staying Strong

Your success and happiness lie within you. Resolve to keep happy; you are worthy of love and respect.”

-Glen McMillan.

Choose A Idea For Your Child:

C.W.D - What We Do Northland Playgrounds

Northland Playgrounds:

The mother of a 9-year-old who suffers from a chromosome abnormality in Whangārei is disappointed playgrounds for children with disabilities aren't user-friendly, despite the district having 36 playgrounds and four skateboard parks...

C.W.D - What We Do Wheelchair Swing

Wheelchair Swing:

We would like disabled children to have more playtime. Northland needs a wheelchair swing. Everybody loves to have a swing, and there is no better reward than a smile on a child's face; disabled children need to smile too.

C.W.D - What We Do Foot Path Curb Cuts

Foot Path Curb Cuts:

A curb cut (U.S.), curb ramp, dropped curb (UK), pram ramp, or curb ramp (Australia) is a solid (usually concrete) ramp graded down from the top surface of a sidewalk to the surface of an adjoining street.

C.W.D - What We Do Music Lessons & Classes

Music Lessons and Classes:

StarJam is a not-for-profit where young New Zealanders with disabilities unleash their full potential through the magic of music, dance, and performance.

C.W.D - What We Do Perception Of Disability

Perception of Disability:

Perception is really a matter of how humans perceive others. One of the first steps people can take when they see or meet someone with a disability is simply saying "hello". A friendly, welcoming approach is so much appreciated, rather than avoiding or staring at them.

C.W.D - What We Do Art Lessons & Classes

Art Lessons and Classes:

Is anyone able to help with art lessons or classes? If anyone is able to offer help, would they please contact us? Children are just children, and disabled children love art as other children do.
